As you probably all know Jerry & Di are moving to France and things have moved on apace for them so Jerry has stepped down from the committee. Not only is yours truly now Chairman (person) again but I have also taken on the dubious responsibility of organising training for all of you, or at least those of you who would like to take advantage of SUBSIDISED training.

Even the most experience horsemen and women always say that you never stop learning and this is certainly true of horses. So even if you only hack, and have no plans to compete why not take this opportunity to improve your skills and at the same time improve your horse – you know it makes sense!

We are hoping to get teams together this year, not only for show jumping, which historically we have always done well at, but also horse trials and hopefully dressage.

With that in mind we have training sessions being organised for those of you who would like to be considered for these teams and I would strongly recommend that anyone wanting to be considered for a team attend at least one of these sessions. However even if you are not interested in being on a team but would just like to improve your riding and your horse, have some fun and a bit of a social you would be very welcome and after all - all knowledge is power!

CROSS COUNTRY TRAINING

Saturday 17 May 08
11am - 1pm approx at Treborough XC

Practice/training for future team members. Area 12 Horse Trials will be held at Pontispool on 22 June 08. Anyone wishing to do this event must attend this practice at Treborough. Names will then be taken and teams decided. Entries have to be in 3 weeks prior to the 22nd so we need to crack on!

Another practice will be organised pretty sharpish hopefully with all 3 disciplines. Let's show Area 12 what WSRC is made of !!!

I NEED TO KNOW BY MAY 15TH

This is a qualifier for the championships in September (Lincoln). Don’t let this put you off! The championships offer a great opportunity to compete at National Level and are an altogether worthwhile experience.

Your horse/pony needs to be vaccinated to enter this competition.
