You may be aware of the recent outbreak of Equine Herpes in North Devon. The veterinary advice (from Western Counties) for horse owners regarding this is:
* Do not take your horse out to mix with other horses
* If you have any concerns, take the horse's temperature morning and evening, and watch out for
snotty nose, cough, ataxia (wobbliness), and a temperature of over 38.5 and call your vet if you think your horse may have been infected.
